For Business

  • Migrated a major government supported infrastructure from on-prem to the cloud.  This infrastructure achieved a 100% uptime SLA since implemented for the first two years further to the upgrade.
  • Implemented a highly available cluster of web, database and firewall servers running on Hyper-V hosts. This infrastructure services media rich content to tents of thousands of demanding users across over fifty countries.
  • Create proposal document for management of a growing company for review by a board of directors that shows the current system in use, the upgrade path choices, the deliverable enhancements and the overall cost savings by upgrading. Finally create a recommended specification based on this proposal that can be provided to equipment manufacturers and resellers.
  • Implement a high dependency server in a small office on a very limited budget. This server provides mail, web proxy, network utilization and a central file share. And runs on a number of Linux based virtual machines.
  • Upgraded an office computer system that previously used Windows SBS 2003 then 2011 to Windows 2019. The new system uses Azure active directory synchronization for cloud authentication, Office365 for mail and storage and Sharepoint for team collaberation.

  • Replace a faulty screen in a laptop. “They definitely didn’t drop it…”
  • Upgrade a family PC to Windows 10 and create different user areas for each user.
  • Set up a childrens area on a family PC so that all web activity was logged and unsuitable websites were blocked. Web usage reports for children were sent to parents every week.
  • Help a person with a Mac who needed to use Windows applications for a sewing machine.
  • Added Unifi wireless access points into a large period house providing full wireless network connectivity.
